in a landscape

Linda Umans

this sand   this vehicle   this bounce and drag

these red dune elephants   this mirror   this reverie

this reverb   why this reflection   this now

(rhetorical, I really know)   this flight

between the rain and the river

this bromeliad view   this wet breath

on the forest floor   these roots above the litter

this hazard   this almost-desiccation

this drizzle   this desert-adapted life

this thriving   this now
