an experiment in permaculture poetics

Fourteen

in the orca night

the earth tides and the sea tides rise and subside

to the place where

destined to pull from the skin

again and again

          rings around

knowledge in our bodies

measurable by the cadence of stars

a place to live in, inroad

for the travelers tempted to move on

no, not the world, but maybe

          oceans pressed into leaves
