When the Sun was New

Morgan Harlow

I dreamed the world was a zoo and you were the turtle of it,

lifting your child turtle up to see the cat still looking the other way.

When the sun was new, snow fell in summer. I lifted my children up

to look at you. We saw your child turtle, standing on the back of

another turtle in order to see the cat still looking the other way.
