an experiment in permaculture poetics

Eight

receiving bodies into our

            moss fragments in rhythmic

            mitochondria and the eyelash mites

            and tangles of poison ivy

only unrepeatability. the sun

                                  the fold-out street map

                                  the sun was new, snow

                                  brimming with another

                                  itself a tree

come closer sheer light

            such talismans

            delicate silver

            tweezed into blossom

where the last bits of matter cohere
